Kodan-Gara
-
Giant Lizard mountHeat-adapted, placid, unbothered by sun or sand. Peck's default recommendation for anyone new to loc-018 — nothing exciting, but nothing rattles it either. The most common mount in the stable by a wide margin. Kodan rides this one now.
- Sacred Tea Box weavestone
A small, dice-box-sized tea box that never decays — chrono-infused, carried at all times. It holds the couple's wedding ceremony tea. Once a month, a pinch, at the same time his spouse takes hers, wherever she is. He doesn't know where that is. He knows she's alive.
Mossy Ironmug
- Mossy's Weavestone Tooth weavestone
A metal tooth from the trap that once caught char-050 — worn on a cord, matched to a second tooth char-050 wears the same way. Neither of you takes it off.
Party / unassigned
- Weavestone
Each of you carries a item-007 — an object pulled from you in the crossing, returned by Vell, threaded onto a cord that cannot be cut, taken, or removed by anyone but its wearer. As long as you wear it, Vell stays connected to you: he can reach you, and be reached, at any distance, whether or not the window is open. If the strand back to loc-008 is ever severed and Vell can't reach you, the stone pulls you home on its own — no window, no thread required, just the stone doing what it was made to do. And if the worst happens while you're wearing it, you don't simply die — you're carried to loc-007 instead, where the others can still come for you. None of this works if you ever take it off.
Serendel Pym
-
Buffalo mountCarries more than anything else in the stable and arrives last, every time, without exception. Nobody rides a item-018 to be somewhere fast. Serendel rides this one now.
- Sable Rook's Revolver weapon
A well-worn revolver taken off char-041 at the Footprint Pool raid. Practical desert sidearm — Finesse, Far, d6 phy, one-handed. **Quick Shot:** spend 2 Hope for a +4 bonus to your primary weapon's damage. Vaelira handed it to Serendel at the pools; he fired it once, then kept it after the standoff that followed. He's carrying it as a spare now — his secondary slot is still his usual weapon unless he swaps at the table.
- Serendel's Compass weavestone
A compass that opens like a pocket watch, engraved inside with a line Serendel has never fully made peace with: *"Reality obeys and Fate kneels to the heart of a good man."* It's never reliably pointed anywhere — he's long since decided it's broken. For the first time, in world-002, it held a single direction while he was holding it. He doesn't know why.
Thorn
- Thorn's Weavestone Tooth weavestone
The second tooth from the same trap — char-050 wears his the same way Mossy wears his. Vell had never done this for an animal before. He wasn't fully sure it would take. It did.
Vaelira
-
Essentia Vial consumableA small crystalline cell — world-002 runs on essentia, the crystallized power source behind all learned magic here. Vell gave Vaelira hers before they crossed, with a warning: it's an old vial, carried a long while, and it isn't holding a full charge anymore. Three of a possible six. Serendel didn't get one — Vell only offered a wink, no explanation given.
-
Giant Centipede mountUnmatched on rough or vertical ground, and faster than its size suggests — but most riders can't get past what it looks like up close. A niche pick for a niche stretch of terrain, not a default. Vaelira rides this one now.
- The Voldaen Coin weavestone
An old Voldaen coin — the kind that circulates widely enough across the Five Banners to draw no attention, though no vendor would actually take it. It's the one tangible thing Vaelira has left of her mother, and she's kept it through years embedded far from home.
