A walled campus of towers, archives, and residence halls inside the city of Polaris — crimson and white-and-gold everywhere, the Academy's colors, on banners, robes, and wax seals. Ink and old stone and something faintly elemental in the air near any working lab or study. On a clear evening the city's low mechanical thrum of magitech carries even into the upper halls.
Vaelira's study is here — small and disheveled, the space of an avid learner: bookshelves crammed to the brim, candle wax stacked in layers from months of overnight study, a practice slate leaning against the bed mid-figure. Her mentor, Master Corwin Hale, kept an office and lab deep in the halls — cluttered, always mid-sentence. His note is the last anyone here has heard from him.
