Ask Wick where you are, and he answers plainly: within The Frame, at The Lighthouse. Asked why the party was brought here, he says only that he doesn't have that information — Master Solven receives people; he doesn't explain the mechanism, even to Wick.
The Frame doesn't behave quite like anywhere else. Gravity is close to normal but not quite — things settle rather than fall, a spilled drink drifts before it lands, and a jump goes a little further than it should. The air smells faintly of old paper and rain on several different kinds of stone at once, layered rather than blended, like more than one climate got compressed into the same breath. And more than one mirror in The Lighthouse shows a reflection that lands a half-second late — not distorted, just slightly behind. Nobody has explained why.
